BreastFest uses humor and a party atmosphere to bring the message of awareness and early detection to audiences young and old. Last year, BreastFest New Jersey attracted more than 500 attendees and raised $30,000. The event is fun for the entire family offering a day of food, drink, activities and live entertainment. For kids, we have the “BF KidsFest,” featuring hours of music, games, arts, crafts, and sports. For adults, we have the “Best of BreastFest Tastings” featuring fine foods from local restaurants and eateries.

The Mission of the Tyanna Foundation is breast cancer awareness, early detection and patient care. We are 100% volunteer and all of the funds raised at BreastFest benefit the Tyanna Foundation. What makes BreastFest unique is that 90% of that money stays right here in South Jersey. BreastFest New Jersey partners locally with Virtua Hospital and proceeds benefit Virtua’s Breast Care Comfort Fund, which provides wigs, scarves, transportation, medication and support services to patients who are unable to afford them.

Thanks to local support and sponsorship BreastFest New Jersey has made a transformational pledge of $200,000 to Virtua’s Breast Care Comfort Fund. In April 2013, the Virtua Foundation recognized this commitment by dedicating the Women’s Surgical Unit at Virtua, Voorhees in memory of Tyanna and renaming the Breast Care Comfort Fund, the Tyanna Barre O’Brien Breast Care Comfort Fund.

We are so fortunate and thankful to have Yard’s Brewery in Philadelphia for their continued support to the Tyanna Foundation.

Yards has proudly donated a portion of PYNK sales to the Tyanna Foundation to help increase awareness and improve the lives of breast cancer patients since 2013. It’s a great beer… so drink PYNK!
